My time in investment banking full of stress, where everything revolved around money and success, was a very important and decisive one for me. More and more often I started to think about my life. I decided to set my own pace, quit my job, started my own business, built up a management consulting office and traveled a lot through Europe, the Middle East and Asia. My interlocutors, from young to old, still come from very different backgrounds e.g. family offices, sports organizations like the German Football League and Bundesliga clubs, media groups, government organizations, private companies etc.
Finding the right people for my clients, getting to know them and then bringing them together is what I have always enjoyed doing. And usually, besides business, people often talk about life itself and the deep desire to finally change their restless lifestyle. Most just don't know how. Simply downloading a meditation app only works to a very limited extent. So I have met many interesting and extraordinary people from many cultures very personally. Through this, many wonderful friendships have developed over the years in many places around the world. For this I and also my family are very grateful.
But the dream of having more time for myself and the family - what a surprise - did not come true at the beginning, of course. I was too much controlled by my work and as a perfectionist, my workload and stress inevitably increased. In 2010, I was diagnosed with chronic stress-related stomach problems and decided to make a real change. On the recommendation of a banker, I traveled to India for three weeks to take an Ayurvedic cure. Without knowing it, this decision was about to change my life. There, in addition to the Ayurvedic treatments, I learned a special meditation technique that was very easy to learn and that particularly inspired me. Furthermore, I was taught special yoga and breathing techniques. After completing the Ayurveda cure, my complaints were gone, I was full of energy and very grateful for what I was able to experience there.
